Why is it so hard to be kind to ourselves, when we need it most?

A workshop for women/female identifying women who struggle to be kind to themselves, feel held back by self doubt or low confidence, have big dreams and powerful ideas but find it hard to take action.
One thing I know to be true from navigating my own journey is this: having human connection and safe spaces where people truly get you is powerful. It not only boosts our confidence, it also create a deep sense of safety and support when we begin opening up our internal can of worms.
YES, it can feel scary – the thought of entering a new space and allowing yourself to be vulnerable. On the other side of that fear lies expansion beyond belief.
Does this sound familiar to you?
ꕤ You’re tired of feeling resentful in your relationships.
ꕤ You find yourself acting out but don’t fully understand why.
ꕤ You know there’s healing to do, but you have no idea where to begin.
ꕤ You’re done being the “yes girl” who puts everyone else first.
ꕤ You’re ready to stop living in the victim role and finally rewrite the story of your life.
ꕤ You crave a deeper connection with yourself, but you feel stuck on how to get there.
when i began my self love journey…
I used to shy away from exploring my internal world – not because I wasn’t curious, but because I didn’t know where to start. A quick Google search only made things worse: an overwhelming flood of options, ideas, and ‘paths to self-love’ that left me more confused than inspired. Books helped, yes..but they never created lasting change, leaving me feeling stuck back at square one.
Everything shifted when I met a friend who truly understood what I was going through. She was on a similar journey and brought with her resources, recommendations, and inspiration that made the process feel real and attainable. In turn, I was able to share my own insights with her and together we grew.
Through her, I discovered a world of community groups and sister circles – spaces where I could be vulnerable, connect with others, and take away practical tools to actually apply in my life. It helped to have practical learning and new friends to talk openly with about my journey.
That’s why I created Foundations in Self Love. It’s designed for people who aren’t quite sure where to start. FoS breaks self-love into five key pillars, forming a Self Love Blueprint to help you discover yourself deeply, build your confidence, and show up for yourself like never before.

The Foundations in Self-Love workshop for anyone ready to step fully into themselves and feel at home in their own skin. If you’ve ever caught yourself overthinking your choices, doubting your worth, or bending to everyone else’s expectations – especially when it comes to how you “should” feel, act, or show up.. this workshop is for you. Foundations in Self-Love combines deep inner work with practical tools using my Self-Love Blueprint – so you can understand your story, reconnect with your values, take ownership of your emotions, set boundaries that honour you, and integrate self-love into your everyday life without guilt, perfectionism, or external pressure.

The Space
Foundations in Self Love
Hosted bi-monthly
10:00am – 3:00pm
With Tyla HQ , Wellington House
I’ve poured my heart into creating a space that feels both cozy and safe – a place where you can be yourself. The sofa is where the 1:1 magic happens and the rug is where workshops come alive with shared stories, laughter, and breakthroughs.
To foster genuine connection and meaningful growth, workshop sizes are intentionally kept small: just 8–10 people, so everyone has the space to be seen, heard, and supported. Every corner of this space has been designed with both you and me in mind. It’s my sanctuary – and yours too, a place to slow down, feel at home, and explore your journey with ease and comfort.
What is the Self Love Blueprint?
A 5-step pillared framework to build lasting self-love from the inside out.

By keying into your awareness, you will learn to observe your patterns of behaviour, understand the story you’re currently telling yourself, and begin to see yourself with greater clarity.
Through self-inquiry work, your values will become concrete. You will bring light to your preferences, desires, and non-negotiables, learning how to tune out external noise and turn up the volume on your own authentic voice.
The next stage calls in your emotions – taking ownership of them, getting to know the inner child who influences them, and understanding how you respond to life.
As you deepen your understanding of your inner world, it’s time to learn about how you engage with the external world. We will learn about and define our boundaries, explore how we relate to others, and identify any changes we wish to make.
Finally, we focus on integration: how to bring self-love beyond this workshop and embed it into habit, ritual, and interaction in daily life.
What you’ll leave this workshop with:
ꕤ A deeper awareness of your patterns and the story that brought you here
ꕤ Clarity on your values, desires, and what truly matters to you
ꕤ You know there’s healing to do, but you have no idea where to begin.
ꕤ Tools to take ownership of your emotions and nurture your inner child
ꕤ The confidence to set and hold healthy boundaries with yourself and others
ꕤ Practical ways to weave self-love into your daily routines so it feels natural and lasting
How do you treat yourself when no-one is watching?
